Inside the temple, the design cues and color palette are inspired by the blues, purples, golds and greens of surrounding flora and fauna, such as wildflowers, marsh grass, reeds and the previously mentioned snowy egrets. The finest materials and workmanship go into each and every temple, including the Saratoga Springs Temple – from its imported mahogany and marble, to the custom art-glass windows and crystal chandeliers. It has been just over six years since the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple was announced in April 2017 by President Monson, and now the time has finally come to reveal to the public the interior of the new temple and begin the open house. The interior art glass includes the same colors and forms, with the glass in the baptistry depicting egrets in wetlands and grasses. Utah Lake is represented in the bottom wave and water patterns, stylized gold shapes suggest the silhouettes of birds, with the mountains atop the glass panels denoting the Wasatch Front. The design cues and color palette of the temple are inspired by the blues, purples, golds and greens of surrounding flora and fauna, such as wildflowers, marsh grass, reeds and the snowy egrets. Visitors of all ages are invited to a free public open house held for most new or renovated temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There are currently no Utah temples announced and still in planning and design. Previously dedicated temples under renovation are the Manti, St. George and Salt Lake temples. President Henry B. Eyring, second counselor in the First Presidency, will dedicate the temple on Sunday, Aug. 13 and the dedicatory will be broadcast to all units within the temple district.
